Captain Compass

My name is Gary Keenan and I was born in July 1962. My first attempt at letterboxing failed due to an inferior compass.

After receiving a new Silva sighting compass my outlook on letterboxing changed completely, in fact my outlook on life changed as I proceeded to walk around Princetown taking readings of everything and using the compass for navigation around The Plume of Feathers, as the evening progressed and the beers increased the readings did go a bit blurry so maybe too much use of this device is bad for your eyes.

That night I was christened with the name Captain Compass.

I have stayed in the bunkhouses at the Plume and Fox Tor Cafe and also tried camping, the bunkhouses are good but the less said about camping the better.

We have recently put out a walk which I found most enjoyable and look forward to adding to it in the near future.
