The Seeker

My name is Glyn Bowring and I was born in August 1954. I started letterboxing in September 1994 and currently have in excess of 3000 letterboxes.

I was introduced to letterboxing whilst attending a scout leadership training course by my tutor Brian Mason (Traveller "Snail" No 15435).

I do not visit Dartmoor as often as I would like, but I make the most of it when I do. I enjoy the pace of life and find the local people very welcoming.

The roaring fires in the local public houses are much needed after a good soaking on the moors, plus the fine fayre offered and of course the odd beer now and again, and again, and again......

I am very interested in the history of Dartmoor as I find it fascinating, also I am delighted with the varied wildlife that abound on Dartmoor.

I think that letterboxing is a great outdoor activity for children and may even get them off the computer for a short time.
